Orient Beach is consider by many as the most beautiful beach in Saint-Martin. Also known as the “Saint Tropez of the Caribbean”, Orient Bay (Baie Orientale) beach is situated on the French Side, in the north-eastern part of SXM island.
With its 2 miles (3 km) of white thin sand, its underwater marine reserve and its clear water, this is one of the gentlest beaches on Saint-Martin, thanks to the protection afforded by the coral reef running from the south to Green Cay and beyond.
Surrounding the beach, you can find restaurants and bars. If you need calm, you can also find quiet places to relax yourself. Orient Beach is one of the Saint-Martin’s largest and most popular beaches, well known by locals and tourists.
If you plan to spend a day at one of the beach clubs, don’t hesitate to test their restaurants and bars, you can be served directly on the beach. Want to relax ? Try an open-air massage. Want thrills ? Find your happiness with sea toys. Want to explore ? Snorkeling near the coral reef which is the home of many fish.
You can also discover a wide range of watersports including : kitesurfing, catamaran sports, upward parachute, rentals of jet ski and more.
On the southeastern end, you could find the Club Orient, the clothing-optional part of the beach. This resort is very popular along naturists.
To go to Orient Beach from Marigot, take National Road 7 past Grand Case, past the Aéroport de L’Espérance, and watch for the left turn.
If you visit the island by cruise ship, you will find taxis readily available at the cruise ship pier. Rates are fixed for the 20 minute drive to Orient Beach .
